Description Hone Upgrade Kit If you have the V-Sharp A4 or Elite A4 Professional Knife Sharpener, you have everything you need to get a razor-sharp edge on most knives. BUT…if you want to enhance your sharpening experience and take your edge to the next level of perfection, the A4 Hone Upgrade Kit is for you! It includes all of the extra grits and ceramic polishing hones in one package. Benefits The benefit of the A4 Hone Upgrade Kit is that it includes four (4) additional hones available for the A4 model: Extra Coarse (270 grit) Hones are for re-profiling and re-working the edge of very dull knives Medium (600 grit) Hones are a step up in polishing and will help in maintaining an established edge Fine (1000 grit) Hones are for the extra polish towards a razor-sharp edge Ceramic Hones are for that final extra edge polish The Ceramic Hones can be used on standard blades in addition to sharpening serrated blades. The Coarse (325 grit) hones are not included with the Hone Upgrade Kit because each A4 sharpener comes with the 325 Coarse Grit Diamond Hone and the hardened polishing steel (used to polish off the burrs made when sharpening).
